Extract from the petition that Father Georgi Gapon hoped to present to Nicholas II on 22nd January, 1905.
We workers, our children, our wives and our old, helpless parents have come, Lord, to seek truth and protection from you. We are impoverished and oppressed, unbearable work is imposed on us, we are despised and not recognized as human beings. We are treated as slaves, who must bear their fate and be silent. We have suffered terrible things, but we are pressed ever deeper into the abyss of poverty, ignorance and lack of rights. (1905 Russian Revolution).

Similar to the Revolution of France, the common people and workers have to endure tough conditions involving poor economy and plain hunger. The respect as human beings is little to none as the less privileged are expected to suffer. All the "terrible things" that the people had to go through does nothing and only gets worse. Any defiance to this will result in firing squad, execution or the message just won't get through.
